Joel Boucher was a loan shark that owned a 30% stake in the trucking business that Teresa wished to purchase, and on top of that had charged the small business owners a large interest rate for their loan.
His farm has been in his family for generations. His father used to wrestle alligators and taught him the four steps to doing it.
Hospitalidad Sureña: After he refuses to sell his stake in the Salerno Transport company, Teresa refuses to partner with him. He beats up Frank Salerno and torches one of his trucks. Later that night, he has Teresa and Pote kidnapped and brought to his family farm. He tells Teresa about how to wrestle alligators as a veiled threat, saying that as of tonight he is the full owner of Salerno Transport. Pote and Teresa escape, only to be stopped by Judge Cecil Lafayette and a police roadblock. Lafayette has Boucher, Teresa, and Pote brought to an abandoned building so he can serve as mediator between the parties. He then has Boucher strangled to death.
